Everyone comes to church for different reasons. It is a tradition to stay away from home on Sundays,hence they have to be in the church; while some are always glad like David when he went into the presence of the Lord. The motive of coming to where God's word is preached has an important role on the efficiency of the word in a person's life. The pharisees and Scribes joined the crowd to hear Jesus' words and teachings but their intention was to use His words against Him. Such words cannot bless them. What is your own motive for coming to hear the word of God?
